Maddison angers Alexander-Arnold over Tottenham-Liverpool fiasco: ‘Still asking for a repeat’
James Maddison met Alexander Arnold in the England national team and trolled him on Instagram about Tottenham’s recent VAR error against Liverpool.
The refereeing fiasco between Tottenham and Liverpool, where Luis Diaz’s goal was disallowed due to a misunderstanding between the VAR team and the first official, continues to haunt the football community.
As it turned out that the people in the VAR room had not understood the hint, they checked the phase and signaled that the game should continue, thinking the goal counted.
During the national team break, James Maddison and Trent Alexander-Arnold met again in the English national team, with the Tottenham midfielder trolling the Reds defender with an Instagram story.
He posted a photo of them from the “three lions” training and wrote: “He still asks for a replay of the game.
We remind you that Jürgen Klopp also suggested in his statements that the game between the two teams should be replayed after the goal was wrongly disallowed.
