Ralph Rangnick didn’t mince his words after Manchester United’s crash against Liverpool and said his team was ashamed, while adding that everyone should understand Jurgen Klopp’s team are…six years ahead.

Liverpool showed strength, defeating Manchester United 4-0 and rising to the top of the Premier League (a game ahead of Manchester City). Realism was knocking on United’s door (again). And Ralph Rangnik couldn’t help but admit the superiority of Jürgen Klopp’s team.

The Manchester United manager appeared cynical in his post-match statements and idolized Liverpool. “It’s a shameful, frustrating and maybe humiliating thing that happened.” Rangnik said characteristically, then added to conclude:

We have to accept that Liverpool are six years ahead. When Jurgen Klopp left, he changed everything at the club and took not just the team but the club and the city to a new level. “They are one of the best, if not the best, team in the world and we’re far from that.”
