Roy Keane rips United: ‘These players aren’t even nice, you don’t feel sorry for them’
Roy Keane flashed and thundered after Manchester United’s another tough defeat by Liverpool, with the veteran Red Devils midfielder claiming there was nothing about these players to tie anyone to.
Manchester United were aiming for a positive result against Liverpool to bolster their own hopes of reaching the Champions League and dampening their opponents’ hopes of winning the Premier League, but Anfield was a footballing nightmare of nightmares from start to finish and reach 4-0 with characteristic comfort.
Ralph Rangnick’s players’ image was so disappointing that in the game’s final they received relentless criticism from Roy Keane (who was hosted on Sky Sports TV with Graham Sunes), who spoke of robot-like players who can’t even win anyone Sympathy.
“In my experience as a player on that team, Manchester United had great characters, players you wanted to be with: Brian Robson, Bruce, Pallister, Ince, Beckham, Giggs, all those guys. We didn’t win every week. You looked around and said I’d give my all in every match.
This team, as it is, does not even arouse sympathy for you. He’s like a robot, without emotions. I’ve never heard of so many players wanting to leave the club.
