Fernandes: ‘Liverpool are fighting for the title, we’re not fighting for anything’
Bruno Fernandez made a harsh admission after Manchester United’s crash at Anfield, apologizing to the Red Devils world and stressing they are worth a lot more than the players.
Manchester United were defeated by Liverpool on the night of Green Tuesday (19.4) at Liverpool’s Anfield and this event spread disappointment in his world, with Bruno Fernandez not hiding his sadness at the difficult 0-4 draw but at the same time carrying on self-criticism.
“It’s another bad result, we don’t have much to say. Liverpool are fighting for the title and we have nothing to fight for. That’s the difference.” The Portugal international first explained to add Sky Sport’s camera:
“Of course we apologize to our fans. It will never be enough, but we can do it now. Our fans don’t earn how we play, they earn a lot more than we do.”
The way they support us to the end, the fact that they stay to the last whistle to applaud us shows that they deserve a lot more.
