Hoyland’s complaints about San Marino players: ‘I heard they wanted to destroy me’
Rasmus Hoylund has accused San Marino players of injuring him in the Euro 2024 qualifier against Denmark.
THE Rasmus Hoylund is the spearhead of Manchester United, in whose person o Eric Ten Hach He saw in the summer of 2023 the striker who will unlock the opposing defense and, using the positions he knows how to take in the penalty area, will score the easy goals that the “Red Devils” missed so much last year.
His presence was also important in the game against San Marino as his goal helped Denmark win the double. However, at the end of the game he accused the home team’s players of trying to hurt him.
“I understand Italian and I could hear many of them running and saying bad things to me, that they wanted to crush me. They also pushed me and hit me while grabbing me very tightly.”
I feel like I’ve been targeted. When we scored, they showed me the flag, but they obviously couldn’t handle it and then started to apply pressure. I find that incredibly disrespectful,” huhsaid the 20-year-old.
He then referred to the difference in quality between him and Erling Haaland. Without knowing it, the comparison between him and the Manchester City star is inevitable. Both Scandinavians are strikers, there are 2.5 years between them and players from the two big rivals Manchester.
Trying to separate his position and the informal comparison between the two, the United striker responded to a question he received: “I prefer not to compare myself with Haaland, he is in a class of his own. I hope to reach his level one day, but at the moment it’s too early. Erling is the best striker in the world, if not the best footballer“.
The Dane started the year with 12 appearances, 4 goals and 1 assist for England and his national team Erling Holland He continues where he left off last year, scoring 11 goals and 2 final passes in 15 appearances.
