The Dutch coach, in his first comments on the Red Devils’ website after the agreement was formalised, explained the following: “It is a great honor to be appointed manager of Manchester United and I am really looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead. Knowing the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, I am determined to build a team capable of delivering the success it deserves.
It will be difficult for me to leave Ajax after these incredible years and I can assure our fans of my full commitment and focus on completing this season successfully before moving to Manchester United.“.
