Arteta on losing the league: “I’m a sore loser, I was wondering if I was fit”
Mikel Arteta has reflected on Arsenal’s loss of the league title last year and revealed he is unsure if he is the right candidate for the Gunners’ promotion.
Last season, Arsenal secured the title evenly against Manchester City, but towards the end of the “race” it worked and the citizens celebrated winning the championship.
Mikel Arteta was a guest on Men in Blazers and addressed the title loss: “I’m a sore loser. I was really disappointed that we didn’t win it even though we had a great chance.”
“I have a responsibility and should think about whether I am still the right person to take the club to another level. I had the energy and belief with the players and said let’s give it a try.”” he said.
Arsenal are in 2nd place with 20 points, but are level on points with leaders Tottenham and Manchester City at -2.
