Ferdinand for Ronaldo: ‘You have the audacity to say it’s the problem, if it weren’t for him we’d be fighting for the top ten’
Rio Ferdinand launched attacks on Manchester United in his statements, stressing that without Cristiano Ronaldo the team would be fighting for 10th place.
Rio Ferdinand had an incredible outburst after Manchester United’s tough defeat to Liverpool again. The former England centre-back also stood up for the over-exertion it took the team to win bottom of the Premier League.
He also pointed to Cristiano Ronaldo, whom some see as a problem, stating that without him the side would be fighting for a place in the top ten.
Details of what Ferdinand said: “I saw a very bad, miserable performance by Manchester United. They had to fight for a 3-2 home win against Norwich.
And in the end they were saved thanks to 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo. You have the audacity to say that this is the problem for this year. If it wasn’t for him I can’t imagine what this team would do well! We would fight to get in the top ten“.
