Manchester City beats Brighton, Luton stops Nottingham
Manchester City struggled against Brighton but managed to win at the Etihad. Luton managed a draw in Nottingham despite being two goals down.
Manchester City subdued them Brighton with 2-1 at “Etihad” and remained in the top group of the table even after the 9th matchday of the Premier League.
The “Citizens” started the field strong, but then needed it against their opponents AEK in the Europa League. Goals from Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland gave the champions a feeling of security, but Brighton didn’t bow down and look them in the eye.
In the second half he even took possession of Pep Guardiola’s players, had more good moments and scored a goal with Ansu Fati, but he couldn’t do more. In the delays he did not lose Solomon March to a serious injury.
Nottingham paid for their inability to finish the game Lutonwhich overcame a two-goal deficit and secured a draw 2-2 at the City Ground. The hosts (who queued up with Odyssey Vlachodimos back on the bench) were clearly superior in the first half, but did not let their scoring chances be ruined.
Chris Wood did this twice in the second half as he looked to give Steve Cooper’s side victory. The guests had a different opinion and initially reduced the score through Chindozi Ogbene and in added time Elijah Adebayo, who came on in the 72nd minute, made the final score 2-2.
