Postecoglou: “I enjoy every day because we are living the dream, man”
Tottenham achieved their fourth consecutive Premier League treble against Crystal Palace and Angelos Postecoglou seemed happy because in London, as he said, he was “living his dream”.
Tottenham added another three points to their collection this year on Friday (October 27) as they escaped Selhurst Park with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
And while others struggle to live the American dream, Mr Angelos Postecoglou The Londoner lives on. The Greek-Australian coach said he was enjoying every day at Tottenham, not because his team finished first, but because he was living his dream.
And of course how can he not live it, since his team has gotten off to an impressive start in their first 10 games Premier League With eight wins and two draws he collected 26 points.
In fact, this Tottenham got off to a better start than even Arsene Wenger’s unbeaten Arsenal, with the ‘Invincibles’ having collected 24 points in ten games, winning seven and drawing three.
“I really liked the way we played. It’s a tough home game, they’re a very well prepared team defensively and I knew it wouldn’t be an open game and we wouldn’t have many chances. I really liked the way the guys handled it, they were patient and constantly tried to find gaps in the words we said.
I don’t feel like they’ve lost their minds. There is no reason for them to feel this way because when they come here every day they see the same thing. They know that the training will be hard and competitive and that all you can think about is that they have to give their best every day to ensure that they continue to push themselves and each other to get where they are we want to go.
I enjoy every day and I want my players to enjoy it too. Not because we’re at the top of the leaderboard, but because we’re living the dream, man.
We play for a fantastic football club, we get to do what we love and the rest is about fulfilling the responsibilities that have been given to us. For me it’s important that we give our fans a little joy, a little trust and a little hope. That’s what football clubs are for. We have to keep pushing this forward.”
