Wolves 2-2 Newcastle: Hard-fought battle at “Molino” with four goals but no winner
In an evenly matched game that kept the crowd enthralled until the final minute, Wolves were held to a 2-2 draw against Newcastle at Molinos, with both teams looking to continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Going into the game at Molinos on Saturday evening (October 28), Wolves were four games unbeaten in the Premier League before half-time and Newcastle were five, a sign of their recent form.
They maintained this throughout Matchday 10, with the Magpies taking the lead twice through Callum Wilson, but the Wolves responding with equal numbers from Lemina and Huang, drawing 2-2 and both exiting contentedly with a draw.
The pace was rapid in the first half, both teams contested a total of 16 finals (4 each on goal) and the ball ended up in the net three times. Calum Wilson opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a deflected shot after Jose Sa failed to block a cross from the left (0-1). Wolves’ response came in the 36th minute with a great header from Semedo, who scored for the first time for Wolves and 4th overall in the Premier League.
