Luis Diaz’s father is released by the kidnappers as quickly as possible
The kidnappers have promised to release Luis Diaz’s father “as soon as possible” as the series is still ongoing and Colombian authorities are close to finding a solution.
Six days have passed since Luis Diaz’s parents were kidnapped at a gas station in the city Barrancas of Colombia, by armed men on motorcycles.
While the Liverpool player’s mother was released after a shootout between the kidnappers and Colombian police, his father’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The kidnappers spoke out through their representative on Thursday (February 11th) and stated that the National Liberation Army (ELN)A guerrilla group in the Latin American country is holding his father prisoner Zeus.
In a video posted on X by Colombian journalist Santiago Ángel: the representative of the ELNJuan Carlos Cuéllar admits to illegal detention and expressly states that he will be released.very soon“.
