The Premier League’s decision to allow Manchester City and Liverpool to play their top-flight derby on matchday 13 at lunchtime has left Jürgen Klopp in turmoil.

The league’s suspension of national team games adds to the concerns of Manchester City and Liverpool fans ahead of their derby clash on November 25, but Jurgen Klopp has ensured the first spark is lit ahead of the Titans’ clash at the Etihad next Saturday.

And that is because he did not hesitate to express his great dissatisfaction with the fact that the Premier League and the broadcasters had agreed that the game would take place in the early afternoon (12:30 p.m. local time, 2:30 p.m. Greek time). The period between the World Cup qualifiers in the Latin American zone and the English derby should be less than 72 hours.

“How can you organize a game like this on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.? Honestly, the people who make these decisions can’t feel football. This is not possible.”

This is the time when people pay the most to watch a football game. By the way, the players will all travel on the same plane.” Klopp stressed, referring to Anderson, Alisson, Alvarez, McAllister and Nunes, who will return from the other side of the Atlantic to play in the derby.

“You have to fight in the toughest league in the world and be ready on Thursday, Sunday and Thursday.”

And if the Premier League is able to do that, we have to be ready at 12.30pm on Saturday.”Klopp added, referring to the league’s decision to schedule the derby so early, even though there are players who return to England with busy schedules and will not have enough time to rest.
