Father Ramsdale: “He lost his smile at Arsenal”
Aaron Ramsdale is in David Raya’s shadow and as his father has explained, being second choice at Arsenal has made him lose his smile.
David Raya’s arrival at the Emirates last summer on loan from Brentford changed the balance of power under Arsenal’s goalposts.
And therefore After two years of uninterrupted presence in the team, he is sitting on the bench for the last timeHis playing time has been drastically reduced after making 85 appearances for the Gunners since the summer of 2021, when he moved from Sheffield United for a €28 million fee.
The England goalkeeper’s father explained that the player was unhappy with this development and had lost his smile.
“Aaron lost the smile he used to have when he held the ball. And it’s difficult. It’s really hard to see him there and we’re all like, “You have to keep smiling.” and continued:
“David Raya is a great goalkeeper and it’s not his fault. Aaron says Raya is a great guy, he works hard with him and tries to help him as much as he can.”
