Premier League rankings after Everton lose 10 points
Everton’s 10-point deduction for breaching Premier League financial regulations has set a new record in the tailgate battle, with the Candies now in the relegation zone.
Everton suffered a major shock on Friday (11/17) when it was revealed that an independent panel had deducted 10 Candy Points from this year’s rankings for breaches of Premier League financial regulations in the 2021-22 season.
The decision to deduct points is effective immediately (Liverpool Blues will appeal) and represents an all-new record in the relegation battle, with Sean Dyche’s side now dropping to 19th, ahead of leaders Burnley, thanks to goal difference.
