Robertson: “I’m not looking at a possible return date, I’m going week by week”

Andy Robertson claimed that his recovery is on track following the shoulder surgery he underwent, stressing that he is progressing slowly and avoiding “circling” a match for his possible return.

Liverpool are counting down to the Premier League derby in the top flight at the Etihad next Saturday (November 25th) against Manchester City. In one game there will be a certain defeat, namely that of Andy Robertson, who was eliminated here and a month after a serious injury sustained during a game of the Scottish national team in the qualifying for Euro 2024.

The injury has seen the Highlanders captain undergo shoulder surgery and his return to action is expected to take place in around two months, with Robertson due to give an interviewViaplay Sports” and asserting that he will not try to “force” his organization to expedite his comeback.

“Slowly but surely we will get there. The operation was successful, which was very important, and there were no complications.”

So far, so good. I think it’s been three weeks since my surgery so everything is going well.

I hope we keep it up and before we know it I’ll be back.”The experienced left-back emphasized first and added:

“I don’t look too far into the future to say a possible return date. I look week by week. I try not to get frustrated, I try to get little victories every week.”

I don’t want to set my mind on a match and then miss it or come back early. I’m taking it slow but steady and when the time comes, I’ll recharge to try and come back as quickly as possible.”
