Haaland pays 15,000 euros to transport 200 Brine fans to the promotion game
Brine is aiming for promotion to Norway’s top flight via the play-offs for the first time since 2006 and will have an audience on his side thanks to Erling Haaland’s initiative to cover the travel costs of 200 teammates.
Erling Haaland has achieved things and wonders in the last six years with successive spells at Salzburg, Dortmund and Manchester City, but he never forgets the club where he took his first footballing steps, with the bomber of European pitches “growing up” thanks to the infrastructure “ is divisions of Brine and made his professional debut there in 2015.
Such is his love for Brine and the bond he has with his country’s team that he made a very impressive move to the television network.TV2 announced it had committed to paying €15,000 to fund the train journey of 200 Brine fans to watch live one of their team’s most important games in almost 20 years.
This will take place next Saturday (25/11) against Start in Kristiansand, with Brine securing the final ticket for the OBOS league play-offs and fighting for promotion to Norway’s top division for the first time in 17 years.
In fact, Holland promised that he would commit to financially covering the ticket for those who make the specific journey by bus instead of train.
“As a club, we have not revealed the name of the person who will cover the costs of moving our fans.”
All we can say is that this is a fantastic move that gives us the opportunity to send as many of our fans to Kristiansand as possible.
Times are difficult financially for people and that makes it very difficult to make a game a priority.”emphasized Bjorn Hagerund Rocken, commercial director of Brine, and team spokesman Ole Morten Hoberstad significantly added:
“It’s great that Erling wants to sponsor the trip for Brine’s friends, the entire organization appreciates it.”
