The loan of players between teams with a common owner has been approved by the Premier League
An attempt by a majority of Premier League clubs to block a proposal to allow players to be loaned out between clubs with common ownership failed by just one vote, paving the way for players – mainly from Saudi Arabia – to move to the top to change league.
A meeting was held in the Premier League on Tuesday afternoon where senior officials from the 20 teams in the world’s top league were asked to vote for or against Loan of players between clubs linked by ownership.
