Brentford 0-1 Arsenal: Redeemer Havertz catapults them to the top
Kai Havertz came on as a substitute in the 79th minute and ten minutes later he redeemed Arsenal at home to compatriot Brentford, with Arteta’s side winning 1-0 and climbing alone to the top of the Premier League table.
Arsenal were desperate for a win at the Gtech Community Stadium to take advantage of the 1-1 draw in the previous derby between City and Liverpool and for 88 minutes they appeared trapped in the clutches of Brentford’s defense and were just a breath away from to throw the gift… Manchester into the trash.
But somewhere there was the mechanical god Kai Havertz, who came on as a substitute in the 79th minute and Mikel fully vindicated Arteta after he won, heading Flecken from a sideline position at Saka’s cross and writing the final 1-0 for the Gunners.

The match
After an evenly balanced first 20 minutes, Arsenal then took the reins and kept their compatriots out of their goals until the end of the first half (69% possession), but of the nine finals they scored, only two reached the goal, with Flecken stopping both times .
In fact, on the Brazilian’s second chance in the 42nd minute, Trossard picked up the rebound after a shaky save from the opposing goalkeeper and pushed the ball into the net, but VAR intervened and ultimately disallowed the goal as the Belgian was offside.
In the second half, Arteta’s side encountered more resistance and struggled to create clear-cut chances. For their part, Brentford defended exemplary and were incredibly dangerous on the counterattack. He even had an excellent chance to score in the 78th minute, but Zinchenko parried Moppe’s header with overexertion on the line.
This phase was a harbinger of the outcome of the game, as Arsenal not only stood firm in this crucial moment, but also scored the golden goal in the 89th minute when Saka sent in a great cross from the right and Havertz headed home from Flecken Goal converted With the 1-0 win, Arsenal are alone at the top of the table.
