However, the footballer’s identity remains unknown even as two other English Premier League footballers and a manager are under investigation for domestic violence and sexual abuse.
One of the victims spoke to the same newspaper and, maintaining her anonymity, stated that she was raped by the footballer in April 2021. At the same time, he explained that he had reported the abuse he suffered in July last summer. The authorities immediately arrested the footballer, and four other women then reported him.
Nevertheless, neither the league nor the national association took any action after the first complaint against the footballer.
