Julia Roberts publicly declared her support for Manchester United on The Graham Norton Show and Tom Hanks made a cheeky comment about “Babies” fans.
Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks appeared on Friday night’s (12/1) episode of The Graham Norton Show. The 56-year-old actress said she is a true Manchester United fan.
“I have three children and when they were very small they started playing football and watching it on TV. And I never realized how exciting it was to watch football on TV.”
In a way, Manchester United became our team, the Monder family team (her husband’s last name). And we kind of became obsessed.
After Julia Roberts finalized her proposal, Tom Hanks made the following cheeky comment about baby fans: “Everyone can support Manchester United.” Roberts responded immediately “Oh! That’s not nice.”
The 67-year-old actor then revealed how he became an Aston Villa fan. “TheWhen I first came to England the BBC showed the results of the games. All the teams had very strange names. And then I looked at Aston Villa and thought: Oh, that sounds like a great place. Oh yes, I’m holidaying at Aston Villa.
