Final decision on Chelsea takeover by Friday
The change of ownership at Chelsea is in the final sprint, as the American bank managing the sale of Chelsea will inform the three candidates by Friday at the latest.
Chelsea’s three potential buyers will make final presentations of their plans for the “Blues” by Wednesday at the latest, according to British media.
The Todd Belly fund has already had a meeting with the Blues’ board, while the ‘teams’ of Steve Palioukas and Sir Martin Broughton are expected to do the same by tomorrow.
The three potential buyers will be informed by the American company Raine, which is handling the sale of Chelsea, no later than Friday, as it is very likely that it will also be announced on Thursday.
The final decision remains in Abramovic’s hands, but sanctions imposed by the UK will require a government signature to complete the sale.
