Klopp was caught by a journalist’s “joke”: “You don’t understand football, so why should I discuss and explain?”
An Apple TV reporter tried to make a joke about Liverpool’s calendar, but Jurgen Klopp responded in a serious tone and appeared unhappy with his comment.
Liverpool cruised to a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Jürgen Klopp spoke on Apple TV immediately after the game, but was disturbed by a comment from a journalist who wanted to make fun of him because of the difficult program of the “Reds”.
The German coach has often been pointed out in the past about the many games that teams play in a matter of days (focusing mainly on himself) that wear out the players themselves, and he didn’t take kindly to this report, even though he meant it to be humorous.
“DYou don’t understand football even though you work with it. So why should I discuss and explain? We come back at midnight, do some exercises and go play again. You were rude. The difference between us is that while you as journalists can say whatever you want, I can’t do the same because things will be different“.
The journalist did not respond and the interview continued normally and without problems.
