Premier League
Skipper Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna from the Nottingham first team
Nottingham captain Joe Worrall and his centre-back colleague Scott McKenna have been out of the squad since Thursday morning (December 7). Both players are expected to find a club in January.
Reshuffles have begun in Nottingham as a heavy 5-0 defeat to Premier League side Fulham was followed by the dismissal of Joe Worrall (who is also a leader) and Scott McKenna from the first group.
According to a Daily Mail report, the two central defenders in particular have been informed by the English club that they will not be counted and will have to train on different fields and at different times to the first team.
This decision is not related to any disciplinary offense but is part of the changes being made at Nottingham in the January transfer window.
At the same time, Steve Cooper’s position on the team’s bench is meteoric after yesterday’s (December 6) defeat against Fulham.
