Aston Villa player is now officially Filipe Coutinho. The Brazilian successfully passed the medical tests and then poses with his new team’s jersey.
After a 3.5 year absence, Philippe Coutinho returns to England and the Premier League. Aston Villa had teamed up with Barcelona to borrow him until the end of the season (there is an option to buy) and presented his new transfer acquisition on Tuesday evening (November 1st), as he had successfully passed the medical examinations.
“He’s here and he’s perfect”, is the title in the video that the Birmingham team released for its new star, with the former Liverpool player accepting the # 23 shirt.
“It’s a pleasure to be here at this great club. I spoke a lot with coach Stevie (ss Gerard), who told me about the club and his ambitions.”
“I am happy to be here.” said the 29-year-old midfielder in the first interview he gave as an Aston Villa player.
