Guardiola: “It wasn’t bad luck, we deserved it, we gave away two points”
Pep Guardiola was upset with Manchester City’s two points loss to Crystal Palace and claimed his side deserved a draw after conceding a penalty and failing to create any chances.
Manchester City squandered a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace on Matchday 17 of the Premier League, which managed a 2-2 draw thanks to a penalty in the 5th minute of stoppage time.
The Citizens gave away two points and remained in 4th place, with Pep Guardiola insisting his team deserved the result after conceding a penalty but also failing to create any chances in the game.
“It wasn’t bad luck, we deserved it. We gave away two points, if you give away the penalty you deserve it. They see the chances we created and we admit they are quite similar to Chelsea’s game.”
“With 10 players in 16 meters with space, you have to be patient. If we play like that, we won’t get anything done. We’re not consistent enough to finish games.”
