Mourinho on Manchester United: “I have no regrets, the world knows I gave everything”
Jose Mourinho referred to his tenure at Manchester United on The Obi One podcast and stressed that the people in the team knew he gave everything.
Jose Mourinho stayed at Manchester United for 2.5 years and won three titles (Community Shield, League Cup and Europa League) during this time.
The two teams parted ways in December 2018 and United have not been able to celebrate a title since then.
The Special One was hosted on Podcast”“The Obi One,” stressed that Red Devils fans know he gave everything in the team.
“They still have a CEO who is a great person and who I would have liked to have had during my time there, Richard Arnold, who is probably leaving now.
I had him as commercial director, not CEO, and I would have liked to have had him by my side while I was there, but the club wasn’t easy. I have no regrets because I gave it my all.
The Manchester United fans know that I gave everything, they know how much I love the club. I was there once with Sky Sports doing my commentary and the whole stadium turned to me and clapped and sang for me.
If that happens, if I go to Inter, Real, Porto or Chelsea, then you say it’s because of everything we’ve won.
But when you go to Manchester United, a club with that history, and they do that for a manager who has only won the Europa League, the League Cup, the Charity Shield and finished second, you come to the conclusion that they know that I gave everything.”
