Manchester United: “We remain fully committed to participating in UEFA competitions”
Manchester United has, in the last few hours, made known through a simple announcement its position on the issue that monopolizes international football by closing the door to the European Super League and remaining loyal to UEFA’s European club competitions.
In the last few hours there have been announcements from the parties involved in the “battle” of the European Super League and FIFA/UEFAwith European clubs split into two camps.
First, Real Madrid and Barcelona, through their presidents, welcomed the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union not to consider the creation of the European Super League, a league that will put a stop to UEFA’s plans to monopolize illegal European football.
Now it is Manchester United’s turn to take a stand by openly expressing their support for UEFA competitions and aligning themselves with the British government, which is considering imposing a “ban” on English teams joining the fledgling league want.
“Our position has not changed. We remain fully committed to our participation in UEFA competitions and, through the ECA, work with UEFA, the Premier League and other associations to develop football in Europe“says the Red Devils’ announcement.
