James has walked through the door of the practice and will remain in the pits for four months
Rhys James has made the decision to finally shake off the muscle injury problems that have plagued him since the start of last season. The Chelsea captain has to undergo an operation that will keep him out of action for around four months.
Muscle injury problems have been the biggest stumbling block for Rhys James since the start of the 2022/23 season. The 24-year-old English winger made just 24 Premier League appearances during that time and missed the big date of the World Cup in Qatar.
This fact led the Chelsea captain to make a big and important decision and that was to go through the surgery door, with the player having to undergo an operation that would keep him out for a period of four months, and which he announced in a post published on Instagram.
“The football world knew I was injured, but this time the process took a little longer to find the best possible solution. I had surgery today to correct a recurring hamstring problem. Recovery has begun, both physically and mentally.”
Since this injury I have received good support, but also a lot more hate and negativity. Trust me, I don’t want to get hurt, I’m happier when I play football. Thank you to the understanding people who support me despite my ups and downs. Take care, Reese.he wrote characteristically.
