Martial denied he wants to play for Manchester United
Ralph Rangnick claimed Anthony Martial ruled himself out of the match against Aston Villa in Birmingham, not counting the Frenchman’s rebuttal.
Anthony Martial has been in charge of Manchester United since September 1, 2015. During these 6.5 years, the French striker has coexisted with several coaches. He started with Luis Van Haal, continued with Jose Mourinho, then worked with Ole Gunnar Solskier and ended with the official Michael Carrick. Whether he played or not, he wasn’t one to cause problems.
With the takeover by the German Ralph Rangnik at the beginning of December, the situation changed dramatically. In 40 Days, the 26-year-old international will be portrayed as the black sheep, a footballer who disrupts the dressing room and demands that he leave and do whatever it takes to push situations. At a point where, as the 63-year-old coach claimed after beating Aston Villa 2-2, he refused to be part of the Red Devils.
All this, of course, until he receives the Frenchman’s reply. “I would never refuse to play for Manchester United. I’ve been here for 7 years and I’ve never been and never will be disrespectful to the club and the fans‘ he wrote in his post.
Of course he didn’t say a word for the German. The silence told him a lot more about their strained relationship.
