The Premier League is investigating ‘sprinter’ security at stadiums to avoid intruders
The Premier League, in its efforts to combat the invasion of fans on the pitch, is considering the existence of specially trained safety ‘sprinters’ wearing football boots to give them the comfort they need to run whenever deemed necessary.
The latest incident of fans invading Everton – Crystal Palace was the one that rang the ‘bell’ in the Premier League, which is now ready to take action to avoid such incidents.
The Candies upset the Palace in the 85th minute when Gray fouled and Carvelt-Lewin headed the ball in to make it 3-2. A panic ensued at Goodison Park as home fans entered the stadium to celebrate.
Due to the frequent incidents in league games, the Premier League was called up Extraordinary meeting where he thought about the idea of having specially trained safety “sprinters” in all stadiums, equipped with sportswear and shoes such as Soccer shoes so they can run whenever necessary.
It’s about for the “pitch runners” who have sole responsibility on the pitch to monitor fans and intervene immediately if they attempt to enter the pitch.
Recall that a few days earlier, the massive invasion of Nottingham Forest fans on the field to celebrate qualifying for the Premier League play-offs against Sheffield United preceded it, which even led to one of the leaders Billy Sharp.
There have been several incidents this season with fans attempting to tie the knot and demanding the cessation of all fossil fuel supplies from the country.
