Salah: “I hope City can win the league”
Mohamed Salah stressed that Real are the best team in the world while expressing his wish for Manchester City to face Aston Villa at Etihad for Liverpool to win the Premier League.
Manchester City host Aston Villa on Sunday (22/5) and know that a win will see them crowned English champions for the 8th time in their history and the fourth time in Guardiola’s six years on the bench.
In Liverpool, on the other hand, Jurgen Klopp’s side will want their own win over Wolves while also wanting a draw or a win for Villas at the Etihad to catch up with the 20-English championship-league Citizens.
Mohamed Salah stressed in his statements that he wants City to gel for Liverpool to win the Premier League while claiming that Real are the strongest team in the Champions League.
“I wish City would lose or draw so we can win the league. We talk to each other and we’re all excited. This situation happened two years ago and then they won the Premier League. We’re all optimistic and that’s the lie to us: you have to win your own game and then wait”, stressed the Egyptian star at beIN Sports.
When I said I wished we could go to the final with Real, it was like saying something bad about them. I’m talking about the strongest team in Champions League history. The game is going to be difficult and almost every possible team has won. “But I’m really looking forward to the final and I hope we win it.”
