Manchester City fans attacked Olsen after the game
Manchester City fans took to the pitch to celebrate the championship, but some of them attacked Robin Olsen, with ‘citizens’ apologizing for the incident.
Manchester City won the league for the eighth time in their history thanks to an epic upset over Aston Villa at Etihad. Civic fans stormed the stadium, but some didn’t stop at the celebrations.
Specifically, some of the fans who took to the field after the final attacked the visiting goalkeeper and former PAOK goalkeeper Robin Olsen. The “citizens” issued a statement apologizing to Aston Villa and the footballer, while also announcing investigations into the incident.
Previously, the Swedish goalkeeper had conceded three goals in five minutes and failed to hold the lead in favor of the villains.
