In an emotional atmosphere, Oleksandr Zinchenko dedicated the Manchester City championship to the Ukrainian people and thanked the Citizens fans for all the support and love they showed him in his country during the war.

Oleksandr Zinchenko wrapped the Premier League trophy in the Ukrainian flag and couldn’t hold back tears.

The 25-year-old Manchester City defender stressed that the title is dedicated to the people of Ukraine, while wanting to thank the citizens for the love and support they have shown him through all this difficult time.

“This title is dedicated to Ukraine and my compatriots who survive every day and are now starving. I’m incredibly proud to be Ukrainian and one day I’d like to take this trophy home with me because the people there deserve it.

It was all for me the support I got from the City people and I would really die for these fans for the support because of what they gave me and what they did for me at the most difficult time of my life. I will never forget it in my life

We never give up and today we believed in it. Ending my nine years at City with my fifth Premier League title is a dream come true.

Winning this trophy four times in five years is truly amazing. Everyone knows the English league is the most competitive in world football, but we’ve shown consistency for a long time.

This is a testament to what City has built. It’s really a moving day for me. I am very grateful to City. “Sure it will always be in my heart.”
