Rangnik for Pogba: “We both have an expiry contract”
Ralph Rangnick clarified that he usually counts on Paul Pogba despite the possibility of the French midfielder leaving Manchester United in the summer, stressing that they both have the same ambition to end the season successfully.
Paul Pogbla also returned to training on Monday (17 January). early last November injured the quadriceps of his right foot during preparation with the France national team in terms of the games for his qualification World Championship with Kazakhstan and Finland.
At the same time, the France international appears to be going through the final months of his contract with the Red Devils, with the two sides failing to strike a renewal deal.
Although it looks like the 28-year-old will leave on a free transfer in the summer, Ralph Rangnik made it clear he will continue to count on him even if he wants to continue his career in another team. In fact, he stressed that he has the same ambitions as Pogba.
“It doesn’t matter if a player has an expiring contract. The question is, does he still want to be a member of that group and does he still feel emotionally and physically a member of the group? And while that’s happening, why not play? Even if he’s just supposed to increase his stake and claim a new contract somewhere else, I think he’ll be very motivated.
Incidentally, my contract as a coach expires in the summer. “So we have the same goal, we have the same ambition to be as successful as possible in the next three or four months.” said the German coach
