Norwich celebrated a year of Giannoulis with Pulp Common People
Exactly one year after the day Dimitris Giannoulis joined Norwich on loan from PAOK, the ‘canaries’ celebrated it with a post on social media.
Dimitris Giannoulis was announced from Norwich on January 19, 2021, having been loaned to the England team from PAOK. However, the agreement included a mandatory purchase option in the event of the club’s promotion from the Championship to the Premier League, which took place on 1 July.
Norwich wanted to celebrate their first year with the team and dedicated a post to the Greek defender on social media.
The English entry borrowed the original verse from Pulp Common People and changed the words a bit.
“She came from Greece, she was thirsty for knowledge,” so that was done “He came from Greece, he was thirsty for Norwich”, while calling Giannoulis “Mr. No Brakes”, meaning the lord without brakes.
This season, the 26-year-old full-back has made 14 appearances for the Canaries, nine of which started as a key player, and he has shared one assist.
