Salah: ‘I will definitely stay at Liverpool next season’
When asked about the talks about a new contract with Liverpool FC, Mo Salah emphasized that he would definitely play for the Reds next season.
Liverpool prepare for the big game of the year. The Reds meet Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday (May 28, 10 p.m., LIVE by Sportish).
In a press conference on Wednesday (May 25), Salah was asked again about the talks about extending his contract, which expires in summer 2023.
“I don’t want to talk about it. I just want to see Hedo lift the trophy in his hands and I hope he gives it to me. I will definitely stay next year.” the Egyptian answered specifically.
At the end he emphasized: “I am very motivated after what happened last time and on Sunday. Everyone is motivated. We will fight for the trophy and we are excited.”
Salah has been one of the most important players at Liverpool in recent years. This year he has recorded 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring 31 times and dishing out 16 assists.
