Al Nasr’s proposal for Obamayang’s loan
Al Nasr have made a proposal to Arsenal to take over Pierre-Emerick Obameyang in the form of a loan and mandatory purchase in the summer, with the Gunners considering the Saudis’ proposal.
1.5 years ago, Pierre-Emerick Obameyang was Arsenal’s undisputed leader on and off the field and that’s why the two sides signed a new contract before the start of the 2020/21 season, but Gabonezou has been on the decline since then.
Problematic performances and the removal of the leader’s armband due to disciplinary offenses were last on the menu, as if all that wasn’t enough the 32-year-old was joined by a heart problem that forced him to leave the Gabon national team’s participation at the African Cup of Nations.
But at a time when Obamayang is at the worst possible point in his relationship with the Londoners, the solution may have been found for him and it could be his departure from the Emirates. According to a revelation by English reporter James Benge, there is the team that wants the player and which has not only remained of literary interest but has also proposed to Arsenal.
This is Al Nasr, with the Saudis reportedly asking Arsenal to loan Obamayang out until the end of the season to acquire him on a regular transfer next summer, paying €8m.
So far, Edu’s technical director and board of directors haven’t reacted, but it’s not out of the question that they will back down in order to get rid of his 40,340,000-a-week contract and thus fulfill Dusan Vlahovic’s cherished wish.
When asked about Obamayang’s return from Cameroon, Michel Arteta said that the player will undergo a medical examination to determine his exact health status: “He is in London now and will do some tests because the Gabonese national team has not explained to us why he returned so early.
It is our duty to ensure that the player is healthy and has no problems. “There have been no problems in the past and we hope it stays that way.”
