Lyon will not let Emerson return to Chelsea
Chelsea had three failed “attempts” to bring Emerson back into their squad so the Italy full-back could return to the Blues, but Lyon said no.
Chelsea have come onto the market to acquire a left-back after Ben Chilwell’s serious injury, who ended the current season prematurely.
The “Blues” among the options they were considering was “their” Emerson Palmieri, who was loaned out to Lyon on a year-long loan last summer.
Thomas Tuchel suggested his return as a more favorable case to frame Marcos Alonso at the left end of defence. The Blues have made three proposals to the Frenchman, which Fabrizio Romano says were rejected, including four million euros in compensation.
At the same time, the same source states that Kurzawa, who also plays at the left end of defence, and Perisic are not transfer options for the European champions in the current transfer market.
