Six from Liverpool and three from City in the XI of the season voted by the players

Liverpool and Manchester City dominated the Professional Footballers’ Association vote for the 11-man squad, with six players coming from the Reds and three from the Citizens.

Manchester City and Liverpool battled it out for that year’s Premier League title until final relegation (it ended in human hands, with the Reds winning the FA Cup and League Cup by beating Chelsea in an equal number of finals) and this was reflected in the PFA’s voting in the season finale.

The professional footballers who play in England voted for the top XI and their choice ‘showed’ how much Klopp’s and Guardiola’s sides stood out, with Liverpool having 6 representatives in the XI of the season and Manchester City 3.

Allison (goalkeeper), Alexander-Arnold (right-back), Virgil Van Dyke (stopper), Thiago (midfielder), Salah and Mane (forward) were chosen by the Reds, while the English champions were represented by Z (11). left-back), Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne (midfielder).

The only two players in the top XI not from Liverpool or City were Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) and Antonio Riediger (Chelsea), while both Harry Kane and Sean shared the title with Mohamed Salah.

The two teams dominated in two other categories, with Mohamed Salah taking the Player of the Season award and Phil Fontaine taking Best New Player (for the second straight season).

It should be noted that among women, the title of this season’s best player was won by Chelsea’s Sam Kerr, while Manchester City’s Lauren Hep was the best new player.

Historic day for Manchester United when British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired 25% of the club’s shares from the Glazer family.

After 13 months of negotiations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired 25% of Manchester United’s shares for £1.25 billion (€1.44 billion).

The British billionaire will take charge of the club’s football operations and says he will invest 272 million euros ($300 million) in Old Trafford. At the same time, he made a proposal to acquire a further share of the shares (up to 25%).

In order for the deal to be finalized and formally concluded, it must be approved by all bodies, including the Premier League, as is the case with such deals.

City give River more than 20 million euros and take on 17-year-old Etceveri

One step away from finalizing an agreement with River Plate is Manchester City, where they are finalizing a deal to acquire 17-year-old Argentina’s next big thing, Claudio Etcheverry, for over €20 million.

The two sides are in the final stages of concluding the contract, after which Mr Etceveri will remain on loan at River until the end of the season, when his contract with the club will expire.
