AC Milan rewarded Tonali with a new contract and doubled his salary

Sandro Tonali excelled at AC Milan last season and his reward came very quickly when the Italian champions gave him a new double-pay deal.

In the summer of 2020, AC Milan invested €25,000,000 plus bonuses to sign one of Italy’s most talented players, Sandro Tonali, and his acquisition from Brescia proved more than the right move.

The 2020-21 season was a transitional period and necessary for the young midfielder to adjust to his new surroundings as last year was the big breakthrough when Tonali took part in 45 games in all competitions and scored 5 goals (all in LaLiga) . make a significant contribution to the conquest of the Scudetto by the Rossoneri.

This fact did not go unnoticed by the Milanese and Stefano Pioli, and on Friday evening (9/9) his reward came when the 22-year-old went to the club’s office and signed a new contract.

It runs until 2027 and might not change the length of his stay at Milan much as his previous contract expired in 2026, however, it includes much better financial terms for the footballer.

According to Italian media, from which he earned less than 1.5 million euros a year, he is now paid almost 3 million a year, with the doubling of his salary being a sign of his absolute satisfaction with his presence at the San Siro in the past two years.
