Mandi Kamara: “Manolas told me about Roma, they have great fans like Olympiacos”
Introducing himself to the press, Mandy Camara spoke about his move to Roma, Jose Mourinho and compared the Giallorossi fans to Olympiacos.
On August 31, Roma announced the loan of Mandi Kamara from Olympiacos, with the agreement also including an option to buy him, making him a permanent resident of Rome in the summer of 2023.
The Guinean midfielder addressed reporters on Friday (16/9) and spoke about his move to the Giallorossi, praising Jose Mourinho.
“Many teams made me an offer and I wasn’t sure what to do. But when Roma showed up I had no doubts. I spoke to Mourinho who explained the project to me and I immediately decided to to come here. I’m proud to work for.” one of the best coaches in football history” expressly stated.
He then referred to the conversation with Costas Manolas: “Yes, I spoke to Manolas after the deal with Roma. He told me a lot of good things about the team, what a great club they are and the warmth I will find here. Olympiacos have great fans, just like Roma.”
Finally, he proudly spoke about his new teammates: “I want to stay long, it would be my dream and I want to work to achieve it. Sharing the dressing room with players like Matic, Cristade, Pellegrini or Wijnaldum with whom he played on PlayStation makes me proud .”
Mandy Kamara has already made four short appearances with the Giallorossi and is likely to join Mourinho’s rotation more and more over time.
