Brozovic was injured with Croatia, risk of being sidelined for a month
Marcelo Brozovic was caught in the Croatia Nations League game against Austria and faces a pause of up to a month, according to reports from Italy.
Croatia beat Croatia 3-1 away on Sunday evening (September 26th) and celebrated a place in the final 4 of the Nations League, but Marcelo Brozovic wasn’t as happy as he would have liked.
The reason is the injury he picked up in the first minutes of the game (he left in the 18th minute), with the veteran midfielder undergoing tests and the Croatian Football Union announce he’s suffering from a partial muscle injury that will keep him from action for a few weeks.
According to Italian media reports, he will undergo further tests upon his return to Milan for an accurate diagnosis of the problem by Inter’s medical staff, although an initial assessment speaks of his enforced abstinence in the fields for up to a month.
If confirmed, Brozovic will not only miss league games, but also two games against Barcelona in the Champions League, where the Nerazzurri are being urged to “play their reserves” to qualify for the knockout stage of Europe’s leading inter-club to enter events.
