Babis Lykogiannis became dizzy after claiming a ball in the air and fell to the ground, leaving Bologna’s game against Sampdoria on a stretcher.

THE Babis Lykogiannis Bologna came on as a substitute for Renato dal’Ara in the 18th minute of the game against Sampdoria after he passed out from a header.

The Greek defender jumped in the air with Abdelhamid Sabiri after a ball and hit the Moroccan midfielder in the back. He immediately fell to the ground and appeared dazed, but did not lose consciousness.

Bologna medical staff rushed to the scene and provided him with first aid, and then the 28-year-old Greek walked on a stretcher so as not to strain his neck and head.
