Cavani has scored in the top-4 of European leagues and joined the Latin American elite

Edinson Cavani opened his account at Valencia, scoring two goals for his club and has now scored in the top four European leagues (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1). He is the fifth South American player to do so.

THE Edison Cavani made his goal debut for Valencia on Saturday (10/15) and temporarily equalized against Elche (2-2) with a penalty to make it 1-1.


In fact, he also gave his team the lead after heading in at 45+7 to make it 2-1. Somehow, the Uruguayan forward has now found the net in four of Europe’s top five leagues (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1) and joined the South American elite.


The 35-year-old is the fifth South American player of the 21st century, after Alexis Sanchez, James Rodriguez, Philippe Coutinho and Angel di Maria.
