Galliani: “Our team is in shock for Pablo Mari, we asked for the Bologna game to be postponed”

Pablo Mari’s stabbing attack in a Milan shopping center, which left him with a back injury, has shocked Monza. Adriano Galliani spoke of crying players and called for the game against Bologna to be postponed.

The sports family of Italy and Monza in particular experienced a terrible shock on Thursday afternoon (27/10) when they heard the news that Pablo Mari had been attacked with a knife in a department store in Milan while he was there with his family.

Alongside him, five other people were attacked by the 46-year-old Italian and one of the victims even succumbed to his injuries, with the Spain centre-back flown to hospital and undergoing back surgery that will sideline him for two months of action.

The people of Monza were close to him from the first moment, Adriano Galliani and Raffaele Palladino visited him within the dt time, and his direct partner Silvio Berlusconi even revealed that they have submitted a request to Serie A to postpone the league game in Bologna.

“The team is shocked by Pablo Mari’s adventure. Last night I heard our players and they were crying, I talked to Pessina (ss the team’s captain) for half an hour.

This is friends locker room. That’s why we asked for the match against Bologna to be postponed, we’ll see what happens.” Galliani first pointed out to add:

“I am delighted with the result of the operation, but the children are still in shock. The first news on Thursday was horrific when we learned of Pablo’s stabbing.

If he didn’t have such strong muscles, the knife might have stuck in his back and he would have died. It helped that he is an athlete and has strong muscles that hold the knife.

It will be two months before we see him back in training, unfortunately it will be even longer before he’s back on the pitch, let’s say at least three months.”

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
