Sampdoria’s away game against Inter Milan is extra special for Dejan Stankovic due to his glorious past with the Nerazzurri, with the Genovese boss making it clear he is ethical.

Inter was Dejan Stankovic’s second home considering he wore their shirt for a decade (2004-2013) and had great moments with them culminating in the year of the historic treble, but football life eventually brought him as an opponent of Nerazzurri and even “burn” back by points.

And that’s because he’s been on the bench at Sampdoria (only the second team in his coaching career after Red Star) for some time, struggling to keep them in the division, with the Blues 18th a tough task on Saturday night (October 29th, 9:45 p.m.) in Meatsa and promising him a fight in the 12th matchday of Serie A.

“My past cannot and should not be erased, it was the ten best years of my life. Playing a full meatsa can only be a joy.”said the Serbian coach at the press conference on Friday (28/10) to send a clear message to the Milanese.

“The fans know I’m honest and ethical and I will be that on Saturday. I’ll be ethical with my Sampdoria and try to do my best because we have a very difficult game ahead of us.”

Our motto is: Keep your head down and work hard. Against Inter you have to be full of motivation. You have a lot of confidence and a great coach.

The team follows Inzaghi and it shows in the results. We should know how to suffer.”
