Lecce 0-1 Juventus: Fazioli’s goal averted the worst
Niccolò Fazioli’s superb goal gave Lecce a 1-0 win and saved Juventus from an even longer debate over the team’s future.
Juventus came after being eliminated from the continuation of the Champions League and the trip Lech it was done with the worst possible psychology. The return to Turin will bring various debates after Massimiliano Allegri bet on youth and confirmed himself by winning 1-0 for the 12th matchday of Serie A.
The “Bianconeri” started without Dusan Vlahovic and Angel di Maria, but with Matias Soule and Fabio Miretti in the starting XI. From the first moment they had the upper hand in the game and in fact the 1st half ended without a final from the hosts.
The problem lay in attack as the final was not very demanding until it was Niccolò Fazioli’s turn to try his luck. The 21-year-old midfielder came on at half-time and sent the ball into the opposite ‘window’ with a fantastic right-footed shot in the 72nd minute for the only goal of the game.
Juventus threatened to equalize in the end when the home side scored a goal, but they ended up taking the three points and their captain Leonardo Bonucci gathered his team-mates in a circle after the end and encouraged them to do the same.
