The Arsenal players’ special effort for Pablo Mari in the game against Nottingham
Days after Pablo Mari was stabbed to death in a Milan shopping centre, Arsenal players – which include the Spain full-back – wanted to send a message of support through a special tribute.
The news of Pablo Mari’s injury on Thursday afternoon (October 27th) after a knife attack in a shopping center in Milan, where he was with his wife and child, froze not only Italy, but also the world sports family.
The Spain centre-back, on loan from Arsenal from Monza, has had back surgery and is not expected to return to action until March 2023. Luckily he is out of danger and was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
The Monza people have shown from the moment they are by his side but the same goes for Arsenal where Mikel Arteta’s players find a special way to show their support.
Just before kick-off against Nottingham Forest for Premier League Match Day 14, they gathered for a group photo wearing an Arsenal shirt with his name and number 22 on the back and they did the same after Martinelli’s 1-0 in Match Day 5 minute the Gunners show the shirt with Marie’s name on to the camera.
