Giorgio Furlani is Milan’s new CEO, replacing Gazidis
43-year-old Giorgio Furlani will replace Ivan Gazidis from next December and take on the role of CEO in Milan.
Milan continues with changes in its org chart, as o Giorgio Furlani takes over as CEO of the Rossoneri, replacing Ivan Gazidis from December.
Furlani is a former member of the Rossoneri board who was hired by the Milan club in 2018 while he was portfolio manager at Milan’s former owner company Eliott.
Until recently in Milan, he dealt with transfer issues, the new stadium and talks with UEFA. Although he was recruited to the Rossoneri by the previous owners, RedBird Capital encouraged his ‘promotion’ to the position.
“I would like to thank Jerry Cardinale and the RedBird team for giving me the great honor of leading the club I love as it begins the next phase of its revival. I look forward to working with Chairman Scaroni, Paolo Maldini, Stefano Pioli and the rest of the group leadership: I know that together we can achieve greater success on and off the pitch in the years to come“, were the first words of the new Milanese CEO.
